Just 13 kilometers from Alicante and a few kilometers from Santa Pola separate the small island of Tabarca. By boat, Tabarca Island is easily reachable. The boat ride won’t last more than 30 minutes, and if you have kids, you don’t need to worry because it’s a very long boat with a glass bottom so they can spend their time admiring the underwater life.
Some visitors only prefer to visit Tabarca Island because they can view a vibrant display at their feet, despite the fact that the glass bottom is a really attractive feature. You will learn that the island is not very large when you first arrive there. There are no structures there but a restaurant.
which, incidentally, is not the nicest one you have ever eaten; when you visit the island, it would be wonderful to have a picnic, so pack a few things from home.
